Avant Imaging

Avant Imaging is a collaboration between Huron Valley Radiology (HVR) and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital System (SJMHS).  Located in the Woodland Health Center on Grand River Avenue between Brighton and Howell, Michigan, our imaging center provides comprehensive outpatient imaging services to residents of Livingston County and throughout southeastern Michigan.  Avant Imaging introduced the first and only PET/CT and 64-slice CT scanner in Livingston County.  In addition digital mammography, bone densitometry, ultrasound and general radiology examinations are available.  Our facility is located off the main entrance lobby of the Woodland Health Center, adjacent to the SJMHS Woodland Urgent Care and the new Woodland Cancer Center.

Avant’s mission is to provide patients and referring physicians imaging services in a highly professional, modern, safe, and easily accessible setting with an emphasis on quality.  This mission is supported by:

- highly trained credentialed radiology technologists
- accredited state of the art equipment
- on-site radiologists 

Exam interpretations are provided by the Board Certified Radiologists of HVR.  Avant is fully integrated with the information systems of SJMHS.  This provides seamless transfer and availability of all patient information through the SJMHS physician portal.  Images are also available immediately on CD for those referring physicians who do not have SJMHS physician portal access.
